A leading Indian automotive tier- I specializing in the manufacture and distribution of power transmission products and systems among other products for automotive and industrial applications has been looking out for a technology partner to support its plans of entering and dominating the motors and controllers’ market in the booming L3 segment.
PwC’s Role
PwC conducted a comprehensive profiling of six startups manufacturing motors for L3 segment to identify the most suitable candidate to meet the client's requirements for motors. Based on this assessment & screening, one startup was recommended and positioned for potential engagement with the client.
PwC collaborated with a Tier I to strategically structure and coordinate their engagements with the EV motors startup. This included organizing interaction events, coordinating in-person meetings, and supporting the coordination of a plant visit.
The Results
NDA signed.
The client has conducted a site visit to the manufacturer’s plant for initial evaluation.
The Tier - I is evaluating financials for a potential takeover.
